Cost Effective Portable CSO Monitoring System from Flow Line Options
Flow Line Options manufactures new portable Combined Sewer Overflow monitor. The 3” ultrasonic beam cone allows the sensor to be mounted above the flow to prevent fouling. The cost-effective device can be readily converted to a fixed system, and allows municipalities to meet EPA monitoring requirements. (PRWeb Oct 25, 2005)

Akron Water Selects "P-72 Copolymer" Flow Meters for Chlorine Service
The City of Akron's Water Supply Plant selected Flow Line Options' "P-72® Copolymer" flow meters for their Sedimentation Basins Rehabilitation Project. Fluids being metered include chlorine and chlorine dioxide.
These heavy bodied flow meters are specifically designed for demanding applications including chlorine, hot wet chlorine gas, chlorine dioxide, sodium hydroxide, high pH sodium hypochlorite, and brines. They have been in use in chlor-alkali service around the world for years, and one division of Occidental Chemical named them the "safety standard for chlor-alkali service!" Flanged connections are standard, although NPT and socket cement connections are offered as options.
Akron chose Flo-Corp's P-72 meters because they offered superior corrosion resistance to the chlorine solutions. Additionally, MEMFlo meters cost less than the meters originally specified on the job.
Depending on the service, wetted materials are all P-72 Copolymer or P-72 with titanium, electroless nickel plated T310 stainless, and teflon internals for maximum corrosion resistance. Sight tubes may be glass, polysulfone, or P-72 (again, depending on fluid service).
